Chatfield . . . a public garden
The Henry S. Chatfield Garden displays hundreds of perennials that bloom in sequence from April through October. The large octagonal garden serves as the centerpiece of Warinanco Park where brides, graduates, and other visitors come to take photos among the flowers. Cindy selects, installs, photographs, and maintains the perennials with assistance from a few dedicated volunteers. Bed shapes remain as they were originally designed by the firm of Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of landscape architecture.
